Ilonggo is the language used in Negros Occidental and in Iloilo. It is also reffered to as an ethnoliguistic group of people living in the provinces of Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental, and the island of Guimaras. The Ilonggo speaks Hiligaynon or Ilonggo alternately. The dialect called Hiligaynon which is an Austronesian language spoken in Western Visayas in the Philippines is also used in the provinces of Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
The songs in this album are Ilonggo love songs. And the songs like "Kami Bacolodnon", "Melodina", "Mambukal", and "Paskua Na" are original compositions of Bagguer Villaluz.
